2023 e-Contracts Gateway Information Page, and e-Contract links.
Below are a number of 'Multi-level Mini Online e-Contracts', suitable for children from approximately Year 4 and up to senior levels.
These have been written in a way where those at the lower end and those at the upper end, can all work from the same contract. This also allows older kids who may be working at lower levels, still being able to work on the same sheet as their peers. It also allows kids to be able to jump between levels, such as where they may have a strength in one area, but have a weakness in another area.
It can be up to teachers/parents to decide on who does what, or it can be left up to children to decide for themselves.
The contracts can be used as a daily task, or used over a number of days.
As a rough guide,
For Lower/Middle levels, (Years 4-5ish), tasks are shown in red font.
For Middle/Upper levels, ( Years 5ish-8+), tasks are shown in black font.
Where the task can be done by all children, then this will be shown in blue font.
These e-Contracts have been written in a way, where most/all of the tasks from at least the Part A section, can be done in one day, based on a normal school day, which is also how I plan to use them as a reliever.
There are 3 parts/sections to each e-Contract. Generally speaking, or at least how I plan to use them, is by doing Part A first, then leaving Part B for those who finish Part A. Part C is just there as an extra part/section.
All parts/sections could also be done if these are being done over a number of days.
Of course, you can do them in any order that you choose. You may also want to make it so each child does one task from each part/section each day for variety.
The main reasons for inventing these new e-Contracts,
was for independence, especially for those children who are more self directed to stay on task;
to try and invent something that all kids could work from, especially for those kids being able to work from the same sheet as their peers, even when their ability may be lower/higher than their peers;
to try and reduce the use of paper based sheets in the classroom;
to invent something new for 2023.
Of course, they also have the added value of being able to be used when distance learning is used.
These e-Contracts can be presented in a traditional way, (such as in a book), in a creative way of their choice, or a mix of both. That is up to the teacher/parent/child. My aim in class, is to give them more freedom to be able to do these in a more creative way if they choose. That also makes it more exciting to me as a teacher when I see their work.
Below are the links for the e-Contracts currently available.
Click on the e-Contract links below, (the image above each of the e-Contract numbers), to be taken to those pages. The pages will open in a new window.
For me, I give the kids the link to the actual e-Contract page I want them to do, as opposed to this information page.
The pages can be accessed from any digital device, Ipad, Smartphone, Tablet, Chromebook, PC, Apple Mac etc. Basically it can be accessed from anything that has a web browser.
Of course you can also print out a hardcopy from the webpage if you wish.
As with any of my sheets, how you do them, is completely up to you. There are no set rules except for your own.
